Further unrest in Pakistan:

Extremists wreak havoc around Pakistan:
Reports recently received from Pakistan confirm news bulletins that bloodshed has returned to Pakistan once again. The extremists have focused on the Christian communities in Lahore as well as in other cities and towns leaving many Christian families broken and bereaved.

Above crowds gather in advance of the attacks as they burn loot and destroy homes and businesses, below you can see the extent of the violence and needless destructionMany families have to deal with brutal injuries as well as the deaths of family/community members. Below a seriously injured man receives treatment after the attacks.

Many mourners come under the cover of darkness to pay their respects to the dead and to support those who have lost loved ones.

Good News from Pakistan!

Improved political situation:
News which has just reached us from Pakistan is very positive. I am reliably informed that the political situation in Lahore and surrounding areas has markedly improved recently making it a much safer place for, in particular Christians to live.

Recent attacks on Christians have left many dead or injured or homeless. The cry from Pakistan remains however 'Can you help us'? The circumstances for Christians in general, though relieved by the reduction in violence, remains poor. There is a great need for practical support in terms of daily necessities in the short term and in the longer terms income generating and education projects.

Christians remain poor due to their position in society, children beg, women can only do menial jobs and men are disrespected as a result of their faith in Christ.

In order to help in this situation Mission International is raising funds to begin projects in support of those who are worst affected by this situation.

Please help!
If you are able to help our brethren in Pakistan please use one of the options on the right hand column of this page.

Pakistanis get help from Mission International supporters:

Welcome support arrives:
Recent times in Pakistan have seen many awful problems emerge. Christians have been targeted by religious fundamentalists who have brutalised and killed many as well as burning down and destroying their homes and livelihoods.
Here Christians give thanks before being given some food to eat.

Food parcels are prepared and families leave with enough food for the next few days.
Food parcels are handed out to families as they thank God for His provision.
If you would like to support Pakistani Christians please use the forms detailed on the right hand column of this page.

Homes under the 'Hammer'!

Pakistani Christians lose everything:
Many Christians in Pakistan have lost everything due to the brutality meted by Islamic extremists. Homes are burned down and many killed or severely injured.

Mission International has offered a hand of support to those caught up in the violence and who have lost family members and property including their family homes. If you would like to contribute to the Pakistan Appeal please use the links at the top right of this page. Mission International will need in the region of £3500 to help this group of Christians get their injured to hospital and to rebuild their homes.
Nothing but the walls remain in the homes which have come under attack.
In the foreground of the picture below you will see a food grinding unit left behind as people escape the torrent of abuse.
The cement footprint and some of the walls still stand but the house is ruined and will be rebuilt when funds become available.

Pakistan's Brutality to Christians:

Pakistani Christians receive help after brutal attacks:
Over many years but particularly in recent days it has been tough to be a Christian living in Pakistan. Tolerance toward Christians has all but disappeared throughout the country as Islamic extremists brutalise those who profess Christ as Saviour and Lord.

Mission International has begun a 'Pakistan Appeal' to raise funds to help those who are in need after the attacks on their lives, their homes, their livelihoods and their churches.

Please Help!

Prayer Mountain!

Pakistanis pray for their people:
Prayer meetings are currently taking place in Pakistan for those who have been attacked as a result of their faith in Jesus Christ. Unreported in the press, the Christians in Pakistan are being brutally treated only because they love and serve Jesus. Many young men have been killed and even young women and children have lost their lives as a result of the unprovoked attacks. Now families are homeless, churches are in ashes and Christians live in fear.

Mission International is raising support for those who have been left destitute in the aftermath of the attacks and so if you can help please click here, or use the PayPal link at the top right of this page to send your support. Many Christian communities around the country are in fear of further reprisals but they continue to pray that God will hear their cry for safety and the freedom to share the Good News with others.
Women are particularly at risk. The perpetrators of these horrific crimes against humanity seem to consider that Christian women are just as guilty of spreading the Gospel as men and as such should be punished just as severely. Please pray that women and children are protected from this brutality and that the vulnerable will see God's protection and comfort.
Due to the troubles many children are now on the streets and need help, the Mountain of Jesus ministry is set to help and Mission International hopes to partner with them to alleviate the trauma to these young ones and give them a meal in their belly and a roof over their heads.
